NHL Players Deny Having Sex With Frost

NAPANEE, Ont. - To hear it from two of David Frost's former players, nothing much out of the ordinary went on among the Quinte Hawks during the 1996-97 season, or in following years.

In testimony at Frost's sexual exploitation trial Thursday, both players contradicted evidence from several witnesses when they vehemently denied being controlled by Frost, seeing assaults in the dressing room or participating in three-way sex with their then-girlfriends and former coach.

At one point, assistant Crown attorney Sandy Tse suggested one of the players was lying and sticking up for Frost, who in the past referred to himself and a group of his players as a "cult," the court heard. The player was shown a letter written by Frost for "Xmas 2000" in which he passed along advice to his players and stated "we will never stand alone, we have a bond that cannot be broken ever."

"Isn't that what you're doing today? You're standing together, keeping the bond and protecting Mr. Frost?" Tse asked the player, who responded: "I'm telling the truth."

The judge’s decision in Frost’s sexual exploitation trial, expected November 28, should be very interesting indeed.
