Hi Don,
Thought you might enjoy some "company in misery" when it comes to City Councils and their penchant for raking in money.
In fact I wonder if your Mayor and
my Mayor were not hatched from the same pod?
In addition to the water and sewage rate hikes they are suggesting in the linked article, they've already slapped me with a property tax hike for 2008 of roughly 5%, if I recall correctly. I pay that on their monthly plan and that includes approx. $20/mo. for the people (not me) who wanted the alley paved for the next 10 years. Slipped off on a tangent... sorry, makes me furious... they also want to charge us $4/mo extra for garbage collection and $8/mo extra for recycling collection. This is a new charge due to start next year.
Anyway... that's about it. Greetings to your Elke Blodgett, I don't know her but I like her!
