Fishing Alberta With Paul C.

This past couple of weeks I have been on the road securing new accounts.

Husky Gas Station located in the old down town of Fort Saskatchewan is a very busy little store that sells lots of bait including live worms, leeches, maggots. Live bait always works quite well.

This store has been stocked with my flies and Berkley floating power eggs that come in white and orange (part # wee-18). These eggs work quite well for those who like to bottom fish.

The city has stocked a new trout pond located near the boat launch in town. This pond has a brand new recreation hall and is also located next to the North Saskatchewan River. Here is a photo of a rainbow trout that was stocked last year and has already grown quite fast.

This gas station has five wash bays as well. The station is also the last few stations in Canada that has gas pump jockey's to fill the tank with gas and any other vehicle requirements. Please stop by to say hello to Dianne and her staff.

Their address is 9820-106 St., Phone 780-998-7122.

Here's A Thymely Tip For Gardeners

To keep your thyme plant from sprawling (makes it harder to harvest, and the stems quickly go woody): make a 10" to 12" ring, 6" high. of ... whatever.

The top of a papier mâché planting pot works well. Gather up the plant, and put the ring around it. Then screw the ring 2" into the soil.

Finish with an inch or two of compost all the way around the inside of the ring, water, and you're done.

Thanks for that Elke, I am sure there are lots more great tips out there. Why not send your gardening tip in too?
