What’s that you ask, translating English in America?
Who would have thought that the American Justice Department would have to hire translators to understand the English spoken by their own citizens?
But that is exactly what has happened.
When doing investigations, they can’t understand the brand of English used by many black Americans.
Some call it Ebonics, others call it jive-talk.
Either way, they don’t dig it.
