Winnipeg Honors Blue Bombers Stegall With Street

Blue Bombers' wide receiver Milt Stegall was honored by the city of Winnipeg on Friday.
Mayor Sam Katz officially unveiled "Milt Stegall Drive" in celebration of the numerous accomplishments of the wide receiver.
"It is an honour and a privilege that I'll be a part of Winnipeg forever." said Stegall. "I would like to thank everyone involved for making this happen - Mayor Sam Katz, Lyle Bauer, the Blue Bombers organization and all of the great fans in the City of Winnipeg. And remember - make sure your shoes are clean when walking on 'Milt Stegall Drive'."
Stegall became CFL's all-time touchdown leader on July 27th last season after scoring his 138th against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
"Milt's exceptional performance both on and off the field has given Winnipeggers plenty to cheer about and be proud of," explained Mayor Katz.
"By honoring his achievements in a permanent way, Winnipeggers can continue to honor Milt's perseverance, passion, and commitment to the City of Winnipeg."
SWIVEL HIPS SAYS:
This is truly a great and well-deserved honor for Stegall who is undoubtedly one of Winnipeg’s, and the CFL’s, greatest sports heroes.
